The TIS PL network in France
In France, ETC HGV is operational and applies to the whole French motorway network, i.e. almost 8,200 km of motorways. ETC HGV in France is known by the acronym TIS PL (Télépéage Inter-Sociétés Poids Lourds).
This new service makes the toll gate passage for category 3 and 4 vehicles easier and faster. Since 1st April 2008 it has also been the only way to benefit from motorway company discount programs.
